Although the author of this proverbial saying is unknown, (many attribute it to Plato), I must say that is how the “Skip-Stitch” blade came into being.
I have always enjoyed making blankets, scarves, hats, layettes etc. for children’s charities, hospitals, shelters and for my grandchildren. I can’t forget the grands (all seven of them). Punching holes with an ice pick through fleece on my dining room table took a lot of time and effort. This was O.K. until late one night after I accidentally put two holes in the table, I knew there had to be a better way or I would have to re-think my hobby. Out of the blue, the idea of the “Skip-Stitch” blade was born.
Many blades later, I now treasure those holes in the table since my husband and I have been truly blessed by all the friends and acquaintances these blades have brought into our lives from all over the world. I want to tell you that I do what I love and love what I do and that is to make it easier for individuals and groups to use their talents and abilities to provide security and comfort to children and adults through the use of these blades.
